Permanent Classroom Teacher (Senior Primary)

Do you want to be part of a supportive, collaborative team at an amazing rural school with an outstanding reputation? We are seeking a self-motivated, relationship driven teacher with successful experience teaching years 5-8. Our new teacher must have sound pedagogical knowledge, be a reflective practitioner and have high expectations of our tamariki. We are also interested in what strengths you would bring to the role. 

We are a well-resourced 7 classroom rural school approximately 12 kilometres south-west of Dannevirke (just half an hour from Ashhurst and Pahiatua). We offer a supportive environment focused around our ROCKERS values. Our community has a long history of actively supporting our school and taking interest in their children’s education. We are very proud of our school and the achievements of our tamariki through the broad curriculum and wide range of learning activities our skilled kaiako provide. 

This permanent position starts in Term 2 2023 and our new teacher will be teaching in either our senior hub (Years 6-8) or Year 5/6 class. Beginning teachers are welcome to apply.

This position is full-time (average 40 hours per week). Position and salary is covered by the NZEI Primary Teachers’ Collective Agreement.

Deputy Principal

3 permanent units + 0.2 leadership release (1 fixed-term unit for curriculum responsibility negotiable)

Are you a collaborative, relationship-driven leader and skilled classroom practitioner? Are you an experienced and motivated curriculum leader, team leader or assistant principal looking for your next challenge? Do you enjoy working with students in the senior school? Do you enjoy coaching others? An exciting opportunity has arisen at our kura as we seek our new Deputy Principal.
